[Open] A Sunny Arrival

Who: Hibiki, her partner, and you!
What: Basically a Catch-All with the new girl! Plus some time at the Digimon Daycare.

[1] New Girl in Town

[ Needless to say, when asked if she wants to save the world, there is very little hesitation from Hibiki in terms of what her answer is. Obviously, she says yes!

Still, even considering the crazy directions her life has gone in, this was a whole new kind of weird. Sunflowmon, Nanomon, and everything they said about Digimon, is a whole new kind of weird. At the very least, she still has her Symphogear pendant... but no way of contacting anyone back home at S.O.N.G.

Still, most of her worries end up being forgotten pretty quickly as she steps outside. ]

WHOA!! It's a city! A huge city!

[ Way different from any other city she's ever seen... plus, if you think about it, isn't she basically taking a trip somewhere else right now? Sure, she's been pretty much around the earth for the sake of missions, but she's never traveled anywhere just for the sake of traveling!

...actually, she's here to save the world, isn't she? Dang, guess that counts as a mission too, she thinks. Still, she doesn't have the chance to lament that thought, because... ]

Hey.

[ Apparently, this small red creature who she met shortly after arriving... and is apparently her partner

A fact that, apparently, he's not really pleased about, judging by the way he's pouting and crossing his arms. ]

Um, yes?

Are you really my partner?

Aren't you supposed to be the one who knows that—

Because you're so puny and small! I heard that humans are super big and strong, but look at you!

[ So, one, her partner seems to not really be listening for an answer... and two... her partner is super rude!? ]

Hey! Who are you calling puny!? I'm bigger than you, you know!

Yeah! But not by that much! I gotta have a strong partner, y'know!

I'm super strong! Who do you think you are!?

I'm Coronamon! I'm gonna be a cool and strong digimon, so I've gotta have a cool and strong partner too!

[ So... a loud argument right outside the Union HQ... looks like a good start to a partnership, right? ]

[2] Digimon Daycare

[ Despite their... rocky start, evidently it looks like Hibiki and Coronamon are managing to get along, what with Hibiki actually being way stronger than she looks. Plus, as rude as he is, Coronamon has a good head on his shoulders. Wanting to protect smaller Digimon... Hibiki can get behind someone like that.

Speaking of smaller Digimon, THEY'RE ADORABLE?? ]

Uwaaaah!! There are so many of them! And they're all so soft and squishy!!

Gah! Keep it down! You're too loud!!

[ Hibiki is not paying any attention to her partner as she scoops up all of the rambunctious baby Digimon, falling onto her back and laughing loudly as all of the babies start to pile on top of her. ]

Ugaaah!! There's too many of them! I'm going down! Ahaha!

[ Well, she's clearly having fun. ]

[3] Training Montage

[ One thing that she had told Coronamon, is that she's actually super good at fighting! Which is very true, but she's also not mentioned her Symphogear, or even used it yet. Still, she may as well keep in shape, right?

So, there she is, taking a nice run around Access Park. It's pretty nice, actually! Honestly, for a place called the Digital World, the nature sure is nice and refreshing... ]

Hah... hah... not bad, partner!

Ehe! I can keep going, you know!

E-Eh!?

[ It's not intentional, but Hibiki enjoying a nice long jog around the park is evidently also letting herh show Coronamon up, as the small Digimon is starting to look a little fatigued... whereas Hibiki is doing just fine. She's even planning to do a few more exercises before she's done! ]

[ Claims opened up and I immediately zoomed to claim Hibiki... no regrets. [This isn't going to stop any time soon, is it? There is only one thing that can be done: direct intervention.]

Or you can fight me, if you want a strong opponent for a spar to prove yourselves.

[Hajime, no.]

An arm wrestle isn't enough! A fight! That sounds good!

But why do we have to fight!?

[ Can't they talk things over? Calmly?? Coronamon seems determined to say otherwise, whereas Hibiki would rather not get into a fight with anyone, especially someone on the same side as her... though it would be just a spar. ]

Hah!? You said you were strong, so what's the problem!?

Fighting is the problem! Can't we just talk—

I won't believe it until I see it for myself!

Ehhhhh...!?

He's the type who's simpleminded enough that he's only satisfied if he's figured things out with a fight, I can tell.

[He realizes he's also verbally taken himself out with that shot. Absolutely destroyed.]

So I figured I'd offer you both a safe opponent.

Nn... well... if it's just a spar, I guess that's alright...

[ Plus, it's not like she's about to use her Symphogear or anything on anybody... least of all a fellow human. Heck, using it on the Digimon is just as much of an issue as far as she can tell, though she's been briefed on ALIAS already. ]

Great! Now I'll be able to tell how much you really mean it when you say you're strong!

[Hajime nods, withdraws a playing card from his pocket as a silver belt appears around his waist, and swipes the card down the center of that belt. The belt speaks: "CHANGE" and Hajime's form ripples into something more buglike and armored.]

Alright. Come at me, then. You won't be able to do much damage.

Even if you do, I can heal everyone!

Whoa! He transformed! See, if you could do something like that, then maybe...

[ She's... not really supposed to be yelling that out, though they are in a completely different world now? So maybe it doesn't mean as much... but largely the shock of seeing someone else transform that had her tongue a little looser. ]

Eh?? You can!? Prove it!

Hajime's a Kamen Rider! So he transforms to fight things and protect people and it's really cool!

[Cutemon seems extraordinarily proud. He is punctuating that explanation with air punches.]

...I did not mean to scare you.

[At least, Hajime is assuming that's what's going on here.]

Ah, no no no! I'm not scared, just... surprised!

[ Sometimes transformations are a way of life, after all. ]

Kamen Rider... I've never heard of something like that!

You wouldn't have. They tried to keep things...quiet. But there doesn't seem to be a need for such secrecy here, given the circumstances.

[There's a long pause.]

And Cutemon really isn't good at remembering to call me by a code name anyway.

[Cutemon's got his arms crossed, is trying to look cool, and nodding in agreement.]

Nn... or it's another one of those Parallel World situations...

[ After all, they'd have probably known about a group like that back home at S.O.N.G... for any number of reasons, such as dealing with Noise and such. Still, he does make a good point... secrecy isn't really too necessary, right? ]

Hey! Hey! You said you can transform, right!? Prove it! I don't want my partner to be a liar!

Oh alright, alright... maybe we should go somewhere else first, though?

[ Rather than right out here in the middle of a sidewalk. ]

There's a training field we can use that isn't far from here. Should be able to contain everything.

[He picks up Cutemon and starts walking in that direction.]

Alright...

[ Truthfully, the thought of using her Symphogear on another person still has her nervous... but she's also basically locked herself into this, now, so she'll follow along... Coronamon walking beside her and looking super excited. ]

[It's fiiiiine, Hajime is an adult and everything.]

Well, here we are.

[He's carefully setting Cutemon off to one side of the practice area so the little Digimon doesn't get caught up in the crossfire.]

So how do you two want to do this?

[ Hibiki lets out a sigh, so she's really doing this... ]

Well, alright, first...

[ She pulls out a red pendant from around her neck, holding it in her hand. ]

Balwisyall nescell Gungnir tron...

[ And in a quick flash of light and machinery, her appearance suddenly changing into her Symphogear. ]

Alright! Let's do this!

[ Coronamon, meanwhile, is wide-eyed and speechless. ]

[Flashier transformation than what he's used to but then again he hangs around guys who run into projections of playing cards to transform and really has no leg to stand on if he wants to judge, not that he is self aware enough for that. He nods.]

Come at me if you wish.

[He's tensed up, assumed a ready stance, and is banking on his Undead senses and superhuman reaction time to just sidestep whatever she might throw at him. Not knowing what her transformation does might make this harder than he'd like.]

That was really sparkly!

Right! Hah!

[ One thing that Hibiki notices immediately once she starts is how much weaker her gear is compared to how it is normally... sure, she hasn't even started singing, since this is just a spar and she's not about to try and bust out a big attack against Hajime, but even without generating any Phonic Gain, she expects more... even if there is a slight improvement compared to her normal state.

Still, she's already running at him, so she continues in an attempt to throw a punch to start things off, without any of her Gear's boosters going off. ]

[Hajime tries to block the punch with the armor on his forearms and attempts a simple leg sweep to try to catch her off balance. He's at least already familiar with the way his powers just aren't working properly here, there's that]

Hah!

[ Her punch is blocked, but as he goes to try and sweep her legs, she jumps slightly over the sweep, landing again and continuing an assault with what looks like a Bajiquan fighting style, albeit in her own style... and a surprisingly good one, considering that she learned it all from Action Movies. ]

Whoa...

[ Coronamon, who is the one who wanted this fight meanwhile, is watching in awe. What the heck? His partner is actually kinda cool? ]

Go, Hajime! Go, go, go!

[Hajime's not fighting too aggressively ~~for once~~; he's still trying to feel her out. He's just trying to block what punches he can now. It's just a spar, and he doesn't actually want to beat up the kid, regardless of Cutemon's promises of heals.]

[ Of course, Hibiki isn't going too particularly hard either, since it's just a spar and she doesn't want to actually hurt him... even if they are both in full equipment now.

Still, after rushing him just a little more, she lets up and jumps back again. ]

You're not too bad!

[ Though as she says that, she holds up one gauntlet-equipped arm, shaking it a bit. ]

I feel kinda heavy, though...

[ Which doesn't feel right. Her gear was never this heavy to use, even if she isn't singing. Still, she's interrupted by Coronamon suddenly running up to her. ]

W-Where the heck did you learn how to fight!?

I've had a lot of practice. You're doing well.

[Hajime pulls back when Coronamon runs out there; he doesn't want to hit the Digimon by mistake.]

I told you! I've fought before! I was taught by my Master! Are you gonna quit being rude to me, now!?

Hnnn... show me something really cool, then I'll think about it!

Eh!? What the heck does that mean!?

All you've done is punch and kick, do something powerful! You've gotta have special moves or something, right!?

But...

[ One, she doesn't want to do that to another human... and two, her gear just feels so... off. ]

[That hesitation doesn't escape Hajime. He wouldn't really want to unleash a finisher on her, either.]

Cutemon!

You got it!

[Cutemon starts dragging out a practice target. It looks homemade.]

Hajime made this for me to practice with, but you can use it!

E-Eh? Are you sure? What if I break it!?

Ain't that the point?

[ Well, he has a point there at least... but she should really point it out, now. ]

Plus, I dunno why, but it feels like my gear isn't working properly...

Hah!? Are you making excuses!?

Of course not! But everything just feels slower, and I can't shake this feeling...

We got more in the back!

[Hajime nods thoughtfully.]

My own abilities have been playing up a little bit. I think it's something about this world.

[He does not want to go out and say he's feeling weaker at the moment, thanks.]
