[Open] A Sunny Arrival

Who: Hibiki, her partner, and you!
What: Basically a Catch-All with the new girl! Plus some time at the Digimon Daycare.

[1] New Girl in Town

[ Needless to say, when asked if she wants to save the world, there is very little hesitation from Hibiki in terms of what her answer is. Obviously, she says yes!

Still, even considering the crazy directions her life has gone in, this was a whole new kind of weird. Sunflowmon, Nanomon, and everything they said about Digimon, is a whole new kind of weird. At the very least, she still has her Symphogear pendant... but no way of contacting anyone back home at S.O.N.G.

Still, most of her worries end up being forgotten pretty quickly as she steps outside. ]

WHOA!! It's a city! A huge city!

[ Way different from any other city she's ever seen... plus, if you think about it, isn't she basically taking a trip somewhere else right now? Sure, she's been pretty much around the earth for the sake of missions, but she's never traveled anywhere just for the sake of traveling!

...actually, she's here to save the world, isn't she? Dang, guess that counts as a mission too, she thinks. Still, she doesn't have the chance to lament that thought, because... ]

Hey.

[ Apparently, this small red creature who she met shortly after arriving... and is apparently her partner

A fact that, apparently, he's not really pleased about, judging by the way he's pouting and crossing his arms. ]

Um, yes?

Are you really my partner?

Aren't you supposed to be the one who knows that—

Because you're so puny and small! I heard that humans are super big and strong, but look at you!

[ So, one, her partner seems to not really be listening for an answer... and two... her partner is super rude!? ]

Hey! Who are you calling puny!? I'm bigger than you, you know!

Yeah! But not by that much! I gotta have a strong partner, y'know!

I'm super strong! Who do you think you are!?

I'm Coronamon! I'm gonna be a cool and strong digimon, so I've gotta have a cool and strong partner too!

[ So... a loud argument right outside the Union HQ... looks like a good start to a partnership, right? ]

[2] Digimon Daycare

[ Despite their... rocky start, evidently it looks like Hibiki and Coronamon are managing to get along, what with Hibiki actually being way stronger than she looks. Plus, as rude as he is, Coronamon has a good head on his shoulders. Wanting to protect smaller Digimon... Hibiki can get behind someone like that.

Speaking of smaller Digimon, THEY'RE ADORABLE?? ]

Uwaaaah!! There are so many of them! And they're all so soft and squishy!!

Gah! Keep it down! You're too loud!!

[ Hibiki is not paying any attention to her partner as she scoops up all of the rambunctious baby Digimon, falling onto her back and laughing loudly as all of the babies start to pile on top of her. ]

Ugaaah!! There's too many of them! I'm going down! Ahaha!

[ Well, she's clearly having fun. ]

[3] Training Montage

[ One thing that she had told Coronamon, is that she's actually super good at fighting! Which is very true, but she's also not mentioned her Symphogear, or even used it yet. Still, she may as well keep in shape, right?

So, there she is, taking a nice run around Access Park. It's pretty nice, actually! Honestly, for a place called the Digital World, the nature sure is nice and refreshing... ]

Hah... hah... not bad, partner!

Ehe! I can keep going, you know!

E-Eh!?

[ It's not intentional, but Hibiki enjoying a nice long jog around the park is evidently also letting herh show Coronamon up, as the small Digimon is starting to look a little fatigued... whereas Hibiki is doing just fine. She's even planning to do a few more exercises before she's done! ]

[ Claims opened up and I immediately zoomed to claim Hibiki... no regrets. [The argument catches Hajime's attention. It's loud enough that it would be impossible to miss, really. He's got Cutemon riding on his shoulder as he walks over there. He stops, arms crossed, and Cutemon decides to mimic the action. In doing so, he almost falls off Hajime's shoulder, thus ruining the cool facade he was trying so hard to portray. Hajime's not even looking at him as he quickly reaches out to catch the little Digimon.]

You're going to have to settle that at some point--you can't just yell at each other all day.

[Conflict resolution is not his strong suit.]

[ To be fair, maintaining a cool facade is difficult with a Cutemon on your shoulder. That being said, Hibiki looks up from her current situation: Pulling Coronamon's cheeks and getting her own cheeks pulled in retaliation. Seeing another human, though, she suddenly drops her hold on Coronamon—who also ends up losing his crip on Hibiki herself. ]

Ah! Another human! [ Can you blame her, right now? The only people she's seen so far have all been Digimon. ] Are you also here to save the world?

Hey! Don't ignore me!

[She's not the only one who's out and about working out. Yoshino is too; a result of her police training is that she always makes sure to stay fit and and on her toes.

She, and Lalamon (who is floating beside her pumping a miniature pair of little weights), come upon Hibiki and Coronamon as they're all running.]

Ah! You're the first pair of partners we've seen out here in the morning! Good work!

[Well, it's a real good thing that Hibiki and Coronamon decided to have their argument right in front of Tamer Union HQ, because that meant that Miku and Solarmon had a reason to be stumbling upon them instead of just stumbling around on this by random chance.

...Okay, they probably didn't need to go the Tamer Union HQ right now but shush, it was better than just wandering around blindly.

Anyway, at hearing the argument, Miku freezes at the familiar voice, while Solarmon groans.]

Are these two really having an argument in the middle of the street?

[Completely ignoring Solarmon being a hypocrite, Miku immediately bolts in the direction of the argument, and sure enough there's Hibiki arguing with what can only be her partner.]

Hibiki!

[ Oh! A fellow jogger! Plus, another human as well! She smiles brightly at the new running-buddy. ]

Ehehe! Thanks! It helps me get up in the mornings, and it's pretty fun, too!

YEAH!! Good way to... hah... get the blood pumping!

[ He's clearly starting to look a little winded, but now that someone else is here, he's trying to hide that exhaustion and look cool instead. ]

[ Hibiki is currently in the process of bending down and pulling on Solarmon's cheeks, a gesture that Solarmon is immediately returning, leaving them in the comedic sight of a human girl and her partner trying to pull on each other's cheeks until the other gives up...

But she drops the "intense" battle with her own partner the second she hears that oh-so-familiar voice, letting go and shooting back up to her feet... also causing Coronamon to suddenly fall backwards. ]

Ow!

Miku!?

[ She turns to where she heard Miku's voice, immediately seeing her Sunshine. ]

MIKU!!

[ It's hardly been long for Hibiki, but seeing that Miku is also here... she immediately bolts at Miku. Incoming hug, Miku! ]

Ha, I hear you! I can't imagine what it must be like to get up in the morning with a run, anymore.

[Lalamon let out a huff.]

I can! Back when she was only eighteen, she used to just spend her days off watching TV or eating snacks!

[Yoshino glared at her partner for sharing too much information again, but before she could reply, she noticed the state Coronamon was in.]

Hey, uh... is your partner alright?

Ahaha! Don't worry, I do that a lot, too!

[ Her regular routine, training with old man Genjuro, and her missions at S.O.N.G. manage to balance it out. At the mention of her partner, though, she looks down at Coronamon. ]

Mm... he says he's fine, but...

And I am! I'm totally... hah... fine! I could even go for more! Hoo!

I can slow down, if you want...

Hah!? Of course not! I'm telling you, I'm fine!

Hibiki!

[Yeah, she's not going to resist that hug at all. Honestly, if Hibiki hadn't immediately gone to hug her Miku probably would have thrown herself at Hibiki herself. But after that hug, she did have to ask a very important question.]

Where have you been? Did it really take you a month to answer yes to the "save the world" question?

[Solarmon is just going to... float there for a few moments, just a little bit confused by this whole... everything. ]

[Hajime is delighted to be once again mistaken for a human though it doesn't show in his slightly flat expression. He nods.]

That's right. I hit...that prompt thing.

[He may regret hitting the prompt thing.]

This is Hajime! I'm Cutemon!

Miku...!

[ Miku is immediately getting squeezed tight... sure, it hasn't been long for Hibiki, but the thought of not having Miku here with her was a bad one! Coronamon, meanwhile, is in a similar state as Solarmon... staring at his partner with a raised eyebrow and a tilted head. ]

Eh? I was at home... I answered yes as soon as I saw it!

[ Maybe it's not that wise to immediately hit strange buttons that appear out of nowhere, but that's Hibiki for you. ]

W-What do you mean a month?

[ She leans back a bit, still with her arms around Miku, but looking worried. ]

Ah, me too! Nice to meet you, fellow world-saver! I'm Hibiki!

[ She smiles brightly, clearly not at all turned away by the flat expression. That being said, her attention quickly ends up going to Cutemon... ]

Ah! Is this your partner! You're so cute!

[Miku blinks, before shaking her head. And also not moving to pull away from Hibiki, because seriously why would she. She is confused on why Hibiki's confused about it being a month though.]

Because that's about how long it's been since I got the message and showed up here? [And it's not like she could vanish without Hibiki of all people noticing immediately.

Solarmon decided that maybe now is the time to butt in on the conversation.]

That is around the time I ended up stuck with her.

[Hajime returns that greeting with an awkward nod.]

We're partners, yes. Even if it was a bit...unexpected.

[Cutemon is just beaming now.]

I know I'm cute!

[There's a giggle.]

It's in the name!

Eh? But you were just with me until I suddenly saw that message, then I ended up with a big talking flower and—

[ Gears turn and click inside her head, and she suddenly exclaims... ]

W-Wait! So you were here on your own for a month!?

Oi! Quit ignoring me!

[ Hibiki is immediately shocked and confused... she had just seen Miku earlier that day! Unfortunately, that gets interrupted as Coronamon suddenly jumps up and latches onto Hibiki's head, which to be fair, was an effective way of getting her attention. ]

H-Hey! Get off my face!

Ehehe! It fits you perfectly!

[ Cutemon, perfect name for a cute digimon! Still, she doesn't get to appreciate it for much longer before Coronamon suddenly leaps up, latching onto her head and covering her eyes. ]

Hey! We're not done yet, so stop ignoring me! If you wanna be my partner then you better show me how strong you are!

G-Gah! I can't see!!

Ooh! Ooh! Maybe you guys could arm wrestle!

[This isn't going to stop any time soon, is it? There is only one thing that can be done: direct intervention.]

Or you can fight me, if you want a strong opponent for a spar to prove yourselves.

[Hajime, no.]

Wait. That... really doesn't make any sense at all.

[Because how? And now that Miku thought about it, she had been with Hibiki when she had gotten the message on her phone. So that just made them not both being brought here at the same time even odder.

Not that she had much time to think about it because Digimon on Hibiki's head. Whcih was... well... Miku was very glad that Solarmon would never do something like that to her. She liked not being burned by hot metal, after all.]

I mean, yeah. As far as I can tell we're the only ones from our world here. [Hopefully Hibiki wasn't too distracted by Coronamon at the moment. If not she could just repeat herself later but it would be easier if she didn't need to. ]

[ Coronamon is very warm to the touch, but fortunately, he's not dangerous to touch. Listen, he wants to prove how strong he is, but he's not about to burn his own partner! Even if she does seem a little puny ~~to him at least.~~

In any case, she has to take her hands off of Miku to yank Coronamon off of her face... who isn't happy about it, but fortunately decides to just pout about it in Hibiki's arms. ]

Miku...

[ So, Miku's been here for a month already, and they're the only ones here? ]

A-Ahh... this is really confusing...

[ Plus, she's sure that if anybody else had gotten a message like that, they'd hit yes too... and it definitely wouldn't take a month to do it! ]

Y-You're alright, right? I'm sorry... it took me a month to get here...

An arm wrestle isn't enough! A fight! That sounds good!

But why do we have to fight!?

[ Can't they talk things over? Calmly?? Coronamon seems determined to say otherwise, whereas Hibiki would rather not get into a fight with anyone, especially someone on the same side as her... though it would be just a spar. ]

Hah!? You said you were strong, so what's the problem!?

Fighting is the problem! Can't we just talk—

I won't believe it until I see it for myself!

Ehhhhh...!?

[Yoshino managed a small not to Hibiki, before turning back to Coronamon.]

You know, an important part of training is not pushing yourself too hard. We can all tell you're winded...why don't we take a short break?

Yeah! Exactly! C'mon, I could use a break, too...

H-Hah! Fine! If you insist!

[ Though he's immediately letting out a big sigh of relief once they stop, at which point Hibiki bends down to hand him a bottle of water... which he immediately snatches and starts to down all in one go. ]

Yeesh... oh! I haven't introduced myself!

[ She raises a hand out to Yoshino. ]

I'm Hibiki! Tachibana Hibiki! Nice to meet you!

[Yoshino smiled in satisfaction, before turning back to Hibiki.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, Hibiki. I'm Fujieda Yoshino, and this is my partner Lalamon.

Ah! Nice to meet you too, Lalamon! Yoshino-san! My partner is Coronamon, and we've only just met and he's a bit of a handful, but he's got a good heart! I know it!

Hah!? Who are you calling a handful!?

[ For a fiery Digimon, he sure did down three quarters of the water inside that bottle. ]

Heh. [Yoshino smirked.] Partners usually are a handful, whether they're human or Digimon. I should know, Lalamon and I have been together for years.

[Lalamon looked as though she was about to say something before Yoshino stopped her by putting a finger to her mouth.]
