"Oh no, that's pretty scary. What are we gonna do, Seto-kun?"
The words are spoken by a vaguely dragon-shaped blob, currently bundled in the arms of a tall, stick-shaped older teen. He tightens his grip onn her and sighs.
"Here's the plan. We train, gather resources, and then purge this infection. It'll take time, but we're going to do it."
"You promise?" Petitmon begs, looking up at her partner with her big eyes.
"Mm. You're going to be the strongest dragon in town." Kaiba's absolutely certain of it.
"Yay!" Satisfied, Petitmon nuzzles her partner's cheek. He pats her head patiently, then looks around at the other gathered pairs. He tries to gauge how they feel about this...they're preparing, right? Making plans? They'd better be.
Petitmon helpfully pipes up to anyone listening: "You heard, right? We're gonna be okay!"
day of shoppping
"Seto-kun, we need to buy this!"
There's Petitmon again, fluttering happily in front of a sun hat. He has a few changes of clothes, some food supplies, and first aid type items in his basket. Practical items for a practical mission. But she looks so longingly at the hat that he sighs and puts it in the basket.
"You know we'll have to work for the money for this, right?"
"I'll work hard and get rich! Just like you said!"
So she does listen sometimes. Seto reaches for the hat and plops it on her head....it somehow balances between her horns, and she giggles. Cute. But they have work to do ultimately...so now that she's satisfied he starts browsing again.
Maybe he should ask another Tamer for assistance here. "Have you found any good deals?"
rail riders
As they board, Kaiba is planning to take Petitmon to the RGB Ridge. She has quite the apptetite for a small Digimon, and they need to gather gemstones for snacks: her favorite. But he notices the strange characters (it's almost impossible not to) and tucks Petitmon safely inside his coat. She peeks out.
"Huh? What..."
"I don't like this," Kaiba grumbles. There are too many goblins, and he doesn't like the way he's seen them treat others. At a bit of a loss, he shifts to the nearest Tamer to ask:
