He raised his right hand and summoned what seemed like a bird with chains behind him. Sure he was somewhat smaller than usual but because of where they were it wasn't like he could fit.

But it seemed like just summoning them was enough to scare them, so he didn't seem to need to do much else. However it mean his own companion got scared as went and jumped into his arm. He felt bad about that one at least.
